As I prepare for the 13th Annual Meeting of the Minds, I recall our dozen conferences of the past and realize how different our world, our country, our communities, our agencies and even our offices look today….I’ve observed how WE have all changed. How foreign to our instinct to be hands on in our approach to serving children and families our work has become, but regardless of all the barriers, our work goes on and countless people are in a better place because of you.
This holds true for those of us who provide training and technical services to this amazing network. To keep people safe, we turn to the internet for events meant to be live and in person. While we will miss the faces, the voices and the hugs of our friends and colleagues that a live event offers, we are grateful for the continued support, participation and encouragement you continue to give as we too sail through these uncharted waters.
However, with all the changes some things remain the same. The Meeting of the Minds will still provide timely and useful information because our presenters and speakers are the most knowledgeable in their field. But as always, prepare for some surprises and a little bit of fun. Afterall, this is the Meeting of the Minds, the conference where our goal is for you to leave feeling more knowledgeable, inspired, encouraged and especially appreciated no matter the venue.
I end this note on these words from a wise person who so beautifully expresses my feelings always: “Sometimes all you can do is plan to go unplanned, prepared to be unprepared, make going with the flow part of your agenda, for the most successful among us envision, plan and prepare, but cast all aside as needed.”
I look forward to seeing you there! Please register as soon as possible on our website – you can register for each session individually,
